I don't know anyone riding, and I'm not riding either, but I think the cause is definitely worth sharing. So many people don't realize slavery still exists, or they believe that it's at least only in 3rd world countries and definitely not in America. What they don't realize is that the people being trafficked and forced into slavery -- the majority children under 18 -- are in every country and often even in your community, or somewhere close by. Also, there are 27 million people who are in slavery today. That's more than all of the trading that went on in the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade throughout 4 centuries. And people don't even know it's happening. I only found out about it through an email I just received from IJM that they send out pretty regularly. Only 15 people are doing it, but they could use our prayer and support. I think it's inspiring, especially cycling 1800 miles of the Underground Railroad, with all the symbolism in their route.
I want to be as close to Jesus as possible.
I'm a nanny.
I like earrings, rings, and pretty tops.
I sing a lot.
I'm a nice person.
I like things that inspire creativity, but I suck at acting on my creative impulses.
I stress out VERY easily.
That looks like a great idea. Are you riding, or know someone who is?
